Hyundai Elite i20 Asta (O) Gets An Extra Safety Feature
Hyundai has introduced a new version of the Elite i20 Asta with side and curtain airbags. This additional safety feature comes equipped in the top-end model of the Elite i20. But the dual airbags will be a standard feature across the range.
There is no other noticeable change to the top variant of the Elite i20. The top end Asta (O) is equipped with 7-inch Audio Video Navigation system, projector headlamp with cornering function, and 60:40 split rear seats.
Hyundai will also launch an automatic variant of the i20, which will be based on the Magna grade. The automatic i20 will be powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 100bhp, and comes mated to a 4-speed automatic gearbox.
The new top end variant of the Elite i20 Asta (O) is priced at Rs 7.76 lakh for petrol and Rs 8.99 lakh for the diesel version. The addition of the new airbags is a welcome step from Hyundai, as all the manufacturers are concerned about offering safe cars to their customers.
