The engine will be mated to either a 6-speed automatic or manual or Hyundai might get the 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox for the new Elantra in India.
Hyundai is expected to price the new Elantra in the range of Rs. 16 to 20 lakh ex-showroom and boasts of premium features.
Also, dealers are providing discounts in the range of Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 50,000 on the current model to clear stocks.
