The launch the 2016 Hyundai Elantra is due next week. Just one week before the launch, the feature list and specifications of the anticipated sedan have leaked online.
Thanks to the Automotive India forum, one of the reader has managed to access the final specification.
According to the leaked information, the new Elantra will be offered with both petrol and diesel engine options and sold in five variants: S, SX, SX AT, SX(O), SX(O) AT. The petrol variant will get a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that can produce 152bhp and 190Nm, while the diesel variant is powered by a 1.6-litre diesel engine producing 128bhp and 265Nm of peak torque.
A six-speed manual gearbox will be offered as standard in both the variants, while an automatic gearbox optional.
The report also reveals that the car has a fuel efficiency 22.4 km/l for the diesel variant and 14.6 km/l for the petrol variant.
The top-end Hyundai Elantra will feature projector headlamps, LED daytime running lights, 16-inch alloy rims, LED taillights, 8-inch infotainment system with Apple Carplay, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cruise control.
