Hyundai To Increase Production Capacity Of Creta By 30 Percent
Hyundai has announced it will increase the production capacity for its compact SUV, Creta by 30 percent to 13,000 units per month.
Overall, the Creta has bagged more than 5,00,000 enquiries and 1,00,000 bookings within eight months since its launch. The manufacturer has delivered 56,000 units so far.
"To reduce the waiting period, we are increasing CRETA production by 30% to total production of 13,000 units, while 10,000 units will be sold in the domestic market." Said, Y K Koo, managing director & CEO, HMIL.
Hyundai is not the only manufacturer who has seen a recent spike in demand. Maruti Suzuki too recently announced that its premium hatchback, the Baleno, has received 1 lakh bookings and the company is still playing catch with the demands.
The Creta has received a good response in global markets such as Latin America, Middle East, and Africa. Hyundai offers the Creta in three engine options - 1.6 Gamma Dual VTVT, 1.6 U2 CRDi VGT, 1.4 U2 CRDi.
