Hyundai Creta Muscles Out Maruti Vitara Brezza In July Sales
India's second largest car manufacturer, Hyundai has been tasting success through its compact SUV, the Creta. Hyundai even managed to outsell the Creta to its nearest competitor.
While the Vitara Brezza is one of the best selling UV for Maruti Suzuki, the Creta sold more than 3,000 units compared to the Brezza.
The sales for the month of July 2016 stood at 13,429 units for the Hyundai Creta compared to the 10,000 units by Maruti Vitara Brezza.
Hyundai sold 7,981 units of Creta in the domestic market and balance were export sales. Most importantly, Hyundai sold 6,783 units of the Creta in July 2015 when compared to 13,429 units in July 2016, which is a 50 percent increase in sales of the compact SUV.
The best selling Hyundai Creta comes with the option of 3 engines, 1.6-litre petrol and in diesel, and a 1.4-litre diesel. The automatic variant is available only on the 1.6-litre engines.
The South Korean car major has sold nearly 80,000 units of the Creta in India alone, making it one of the best-selling cars for Hyundai.
Hyundai has priced the Creta in the range of Rs. 9.16 to Rs. 14.50 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
