Earth Day Special – Tesla Autopilot – How Not To Use It
The Tesla Autopilot system has been in the news for a while now. Most of the news is about people trying to show off saying how good the system works when you have taken off your hands from the wheel. That is not what the company recommends.
Some videos, like for example this one, shows how the technology saves lives, while the driver still has his hands on the wheel. The company, Tesla clearly states that drivers should remain engaged and aware when Autosteer is enabled. Drivers must keep their hands on the steering wheel.
Out of all the people who drive Teslas with this feature, one who should definitely be following the rules is the company owner, Elon Musk's wife, Talulah Riley.
Riley is seen behind the wheels of a Tesla, on a crowded road, having taken her hands off the steering wheel and closing her eyes, while her friend is recording the whole video. Watch the video for yourselves and do share your thoughts.
