By Dennis
Japanese carmaker Honda will recall for 11,602 Accord sedans in the United States which had been earlier recalled to replace the Takata airbag inflators.
The re-recalled units of the Accord had been fitted with incorrect front passenger airbag modules.
The units conformed to South American standards and did not meet US federal safety regulationsand have been deemed unsafe by the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Honda is currently informing dealers will inspect the modules in the affected Accord sedans and will replace them where needed with correct US-spec modules free of cost.
The recall of the affected Honda Accords is expected to start on May 5, 2016.
