Honda Unveils Manic NSX-GT Racer — The Godzilla Hunter Is Here
Japan's Super GT touring car series is now home to the craziest ever NSX.
Japanese carmaker Nissan has unveiled its new entry for Japan's Super GT touring car series in the form of the aero-crazy NSX-GT race car.
However, while it may just about resemble the road-going NSX, the NSX-GT is worlds apart from its street-legal sibling.
Unlike the hybrid V6 setup of the NSX, the Super GT series race car features a turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine that pushes out for around 600bhp. The car itself weighs 1049 kilograms unfueled but with the driver on board.
While many thought the GT3 race car was a bit dull, the NSX-GT more than makes up for it thanks to the crazy aero rules of Super GT.
The front features a massive bumper up front with a splitter that could easily mow your lawn and large air intakes to help the powerful engine breathe.
The rear end is dominated by the diffuser and the massive rear wing that is menacing in its own right and looks like it can chop Godzilla in half.
The NSX-GT will go racing in 2017 where it will take on the likes of the Nissan GT-R race car and the new Lexus LC500.
