Honda Jazz & City Drive Sales During July 2016 In India

Honda Cars India has managed to sell only 14,033 vehicles during July 2016, in India. This was a steep decline experienced by the Japanese-based automobile manufacturer. During July 2015, Honda managed to sell 18,606 vehicles across the country.

Overall exports stood at just 212 four-wheelers. Combining exports and domestic sales, the company sold 14,245 units. Honda Cars India will be expecting to deliver a boost in terms of sales during the upcoming festive season.

The Honda City and Jazz were the top-sellers during July 2016. The City sedan witnessed sales of 4,317 units, while the Jazz premium hatchback experienced sales of 3,517 units. The third bestseller from Honda's stable was the BR-V compact SUV, raking in 3,333 units.

The Amaze compact sedan managed to sell 2,309 units, while the Brio hatchback experienced sale of 349 units. Honda's MPV, the Mobilio, managed to sell only 137 units and the Honda CR-V premium SUV sold 71 units during July 2016.

Honda Cars India is most likely to provide a cosmetic update to the City. The company also plans on re-introducing the Accord luxury sedan in the Indian market. Expect Honda to add a few special edition models just before the festive season as well.
