Honda Has Commenced Testing The All-New 2018 Edition CR-V
Honda will be updating its premium SUV, the CR-V soon in most markets. The all-new Honda CR-V was recently caught testing in the Mojave desert, California. The Japanese-based manufacturer will be launching the new CR-V in the Indian market as well.
All-new CR-V will be launched in India sometime during 2017-end or early 2018. Several cosmetic changes are expected to be carried out on the upcoming model. In the images seen here, the Honda CR-V is covered with extensive camouflage, not revealing any detail.
Powering the all-new Honda CR-V will be a 1.8-litre i-VTEC petrol engine. An optional 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine could also be included. Both engines will be mated to an optional 6-speed manual transmission and a CVT gearbox.
The 2018-edition of the Honda CR-V will be available in both 5-seater and 7-seater option. Expect pricing of new Honda CR-V to be over the Rs. 20 lakh ex-showroom price bracket. Once launched in India, it will compete with Hyundai Santa Fe, Toyota Fortuner, and even Mahindra XUV5OO models.
