Honda City Now Equipped With More Safety Features Than Before
Honda Cars India has decided to provide more value to its popular City sedan. Previously the Honda City was equipped with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) as standard safety equipment across all variants.
Now the Japanese-based automobile manufacturer will be equipping the 2016 Honda City with dual airbags as standard equipment across all trim levels. Honda India is gearing up for stricter safety norms in the country, which will soon be introduced for new vehicles sold in India.
ISOFIX hooks will also be provided across all variants of the 2016 Honda City in India. The ISOFIX hooks are important if the owner wants to attach a child seat in the cabin. All these safety features will help at improving occupant safety in Honda vehicles.
An all-new VX (O) BL variant is introduced within the 2016 Honda City range. The variant will be equipped with black leather upholstery, sunroof, and a touchscreen AVN system. Pricing for the base petrol model of 2016 Honda City is Rs. 8.10 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The 2016 Honda City is available in both petrol and diesel powered engine options in India. The petrol engine is paired with a 5-speed manual and an optional CVT. The Diesel-powered Honda City is mated only to a 6-speed manual transmission.
