Honda Cars India Appoint Yoichiro Ueno As New President And CEO
Honda Cars India has appointed Yoichiro Ueno as the company's new President and Chief Executive Officer. Ueno will take charge of his new role, effective April 1, 2016.
Ueno will replace Katsushi Inoue, who has been promoted as the Operating Officer of Honda Motor Company and the Chief Operating Officer for Honda's European region. He will move to Europe to take over his new position.
During Inoue's reign, he led the company to enhance customer experience and bring in operational efficiencies. Under Inoue, Honda managed to launch the third generation Honda Jazz in India and the carmaker also saw significant expansion in its dealer network in the country.
Yoichiro Ueno has been the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Honda Cars Malaysia, since January 2011. He has been associated with Honda for over 30 years and comes with good automotive knowledge.
