Honda Brio Facelift Launch Date Revealed — Restyled To Love You Back!
Honda is set to launch the facelifted Brio hatchback in India on October 4, 2016, ahead of the festive season. The hatchback is a competent car yet a slow-selling car for the Japanese automaker and the facelift comes as a much-needed push for the little hatchback.
The new Brio facelift will be similar to the updated version launched outside India earlier this year. Most of the changes on the Brio facelift will be in line with the revised Amaze compact sedan that we have in India.
Honda has facelifted the Brio with a sportier look that can be seen with the angular front bumper and a new grille to compliment the changes. Interiors of the new Brio will see the similar dashboard of the Amaze compact sedan and the Honda BR-V. With many spy images revealing a new audio system for the facelifted Brio.
The Honda Brio is being facelifted for the first time since its launch in India back in 2011, a five year difference is definitely time for Honda to spruce the little hatchback. As for the powertrain on the Brio facelift, it will continue to house the 1.2-litre iVTEC petrol engine and comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.
Honda Amaze compact sedan is offered with the choice of the CVT automatic gearbox and it is to be seen if Honda will offer the Brio in the CVT option. Prices for the new Honda Brio is expected to be the same or there could be a slight increase.
