Honda Amaze Facelift To Be Launched On 3rd March

Honda's new 2016 Amaze facelift is all set for its launch on March 3rd. The car was launched in 2013 and the new Amaze will for the first time get its makeover. Also, this will be Honda's first launch of the year.

The major change is on the exterior, which will sport more chrome on the front grille and restyled headlamps. Bumpers will see more of a sporty and wider angle designs. As for the interiors, the car will get an all-new touchscreen infotainment system and mild changes of the dashboard. Also, the new updated Amaze will get a new colour option of metallic blue shade, which is currently available in the Brio.

The engine specifications will remain untouched and carry the 1.2 litre petrol and 1.5 litre diesel engines with an option for a CNG kit. An automatic variant is available for the petrol engine. The petrol engine punches out 87bhp and 109Nm of torque while the diesel engine will churn out 99bhp and 200Nm of torque. All the manual transmission is handled by 5-speed gearbox.

The Honda Amaze was the first diesel engine offering to the Indian customer from its stable after it saw a decrease in its sales when most of the other manufacturers were offering diesel engines.

The current model starts at a price tag of Rs. 5.26 lakh to Rs. 8.29 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi). The new facelifted car could be dearer by Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 20,000.

The Honda Amaze competes with Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Ford Figo Aspire, Tata Zest and Hyundai Xcent, also, Volkswagen will be launching the Ameo in this year.
