Honda Accord Hybrid — All You Need To Know About This Hybrid Sedan
Honda Cars India is gearing up for the launch of its hybrid sedan, the Accord Hybrid in India this month. The Japanese carmaker has announced the detailed specs and features of this new offering in India.
The Honda Accord Hybrid will be offered as a Completely Built Unit in India. So Honda will be importing the hybrid sedan against each booking made. This may result in waiting periods for the customer.
The Accord Hybrid will be powered by 2-liter 4-cylinder Atkinson-cycle i-VTEC engine which produces 143bhp and 175Nm of torque.
The hybrid sedan is equipped with the electric propulsion motor which produces 180bhp. It also features 1.3 kWh Li-Ion battery pack. The combined output of the sedan is 212bhp.
Coming to the interior, the hybrid sedan is loaded with features such as - 7-inch touch screen display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, 7.7-inch intelligent Multi-Information Display (i-MID) and Power adjustable front seats with memory for the drivers seat.
It also features Ivory colour leather upholstery, rain-sensing wipers, auto high beam headlights, automatic climate control, cruise control, auto dimming mirror, cruise control and Active Noise Cancellation (ANC).
The important aspect for any vehicle is safety, and the Accord hybrid is equipped with six airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist, ABS, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist and Honda lane watch. It also gets the reverse camera and parking sensors.
The Honda Accord will be the only hybrid offering from the Japanese carmaker in India and it will go head on with the Toyota Camry Hybrid. The pricing is expected to be in excess of Rs 30 lakh ex-showroom when it is launched in the country.
