Hamilton Is Now 19 Points Clear Of Rosberg Post German GP
Lewis Hamilton missed out on pole position for the 2016 German GP. The British driver, however, made the most out of Rosberg's slow start. Hamilton, Verstappen, and Ricciardo all overtook Rosberg before the first corner and did not look back even once.
To add insult to injury on Rosberg's second pit stop, the German came out just behind Verstappen. Rosberg made a fantastic move on the Red Bull Racing driver, unfortunately, stewards found the move to aggressive and handed Nico a five-second penalty.
Red Bull Racing showcased that their development has paid dividends at the German GP. Both Ricciardo and Verstappen took second and third places respectively to complete the podium. Scuderia Ferrari was clearly uncompetitive and were not even able to show a wheel to either driver.
Sebastian Vettel and Kimi Raikkonen settled down for fifth and sixth places respectively early on in the race. Both drivers did not have the pace to keep up with the Mercedes and Red Bull Racing drivers. Once again proving that Ferrari is not a threat to Mercedes, it is Red Bull Racing.
Nico Rosberg is now 19 points behind Lewis Hamilton and it seems like a tough task for the German driver. Hamilton is slowly yet steadily increasing his dominance and Championship lead. It will be very difficult for Rosberg to close in on Hamilton as he will keep getting stronger, as the season comes to an end.
