Esteban Gutierrez seems a little bit annoyed with his current team in Formula One. Haas F1 Team confirmed that they are in no hurry to announce their driver line-up for 2017. Gutierrez is considering leaving the American-based team if a decision is not reached soon.
Gene Haas, Owner of Haas F1 Team is keeping options open for a driver change. It is most likely that Romain Grosjean will be retained by Haas F1 Team for another season. At this point, it is unclear who could replace Esteban Gutierrez at Haas F1 Team for 2017.
So far, Gutierrez has not managed to score any point during 2016 Championship. Teammate Grosjean has secured 29 points for Haas F1 Team in their debut year. This is another reason why Haas F1 Team could be looking at a replacement driver.
On the other hand, Gutierrez wants to secure his future in Formula One soon. The Mexican driver is eyeing a vacant seat at Force India, alongside countryman Sergio Perez. Gutierrez also has an opportunity to join former team Sauber and Manor Racing for 2017 F1 Season.
The Haas F1 Team is backed by Ferrari and is provided updated as soon as the factory team gets one. Ferrari could introduce one of their young development talents to Formula One. We will have to wait until the end of 2016 Formula One season for confirmation.
