Ford India To Launch The Mustang On July 13
Ford India is set to launch the all-new Mustang on July 13, 2016. The American Muscle Car will be imported to Indian shores as a Completely Built Unit (CBU). It is the first time that the Mustang is officially going on sale in the Indian market.
The India bound Mustang is the sixth generation model. The muscle car will be powered by a 5.0-litre V8 engine which punches out 435bhp, along with 524Nm of peak torque.
The naturally aspirated engine will be mated to a 6-speed automatic gearbox, however, the manual transmission is not likely to be featured in India.
The American-based manufacturer has made a conscious choice by introducing the right-hand drive system. In doing so, the Mustang can be sold in several international markets.
Previously, the Mustang was showcased prior to the 2016 Auto Expo in Delhi. The new Mustang was introduced globally in December 2014. It will be interesting to see how many buyers line-up for the iconic American Muscle Car.
