Ford India Commence Mustang GT Bookings Pan-India
Ford India has commenced the pan-India booking for the iconic sports car, the Mustang GT.
Ford India have commenced the booking of the Mustang GT throughout the country. US carmaker launched the sports car in July 2016, but the sales were limited to Mumbai and Delhi in the initial phase.
But now the iconic sports car can be booked from any corner of the country. The Mustang GT is available with a price tag of Rs 65 lakh ex-showroom. After a month of its launch, the Mustang GT became the best-selling sports car in India.
Ford India has managed to sell all the 100 units of Mustang GT that were allocated for India. And the first 35 units were delivered to customers in the first month itself.
The Mustang GT available in India is powered by a 5-litre V8 configuration workhorse which pumps out a massive 435bhp and 542Nm of peak torque.
The V8 motor is mated to a six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The Mustang GT can sprint from 0-100km/h in just 4.5 seconds and has a top speed of 250km/h.
The Mustang GT also comes with a host of features such as three driving modes - Wet/Snow, Sport and Track and Electronic Line-Lock for a perfect spin. Safety features include dual airbags in the front with knee and curtain airbags, automatic headlamps and wipers and tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Ford Mustang GT is offered in six colour schemes in the country - Absolute Black, Ingot Silver, Oxford White, Triple Yellow Tricoat, Magnetic and the signature Race Red.
