Ford India Registers Best Monthly Sales For June 2016

Ford India posted better sales for the month of June 2016, this is in comparison to the same month last year. This is also the best month for the car manufacturer in 2016.

They sold 19,754 units compared to 7,979 units in June 2015, this is a good movement of 147 percent, mainly driven by their new plant in Sanand.

On the domestic sales front, Ford India sold 9,469 units in June 2016 compared to 4,527 units last year, that's an increase of 109 percent.

Anurag Mehrotra, executive director, Marketing, Sales, and Service at Ford India said, "The recent announcements of Seventh Pay Commission, along with the prediction of normal monsoon and scrappage policy are keeping the industry optimistic about future growth."

There was no confirmation on which model was instrumental in the high spurt in sales, the EcoSport though has done better post the price reduction. Also, Ford Endeavor outsold the Toyota Fortuner. As for the Ford Figo and Figo Aspire, it has been lukewarm but has steady sales.
