Over 48,000 Ford EcoSport Recalled In India For Two Issues
Ford India will be recalling their EcoSport sold in the country. Two separate incidents have instigated the recall by Ford. Over 48,000 units of the EcoSport will be recalled in India voluntarily.
Over 48,000 units of the Ford EcoSport with diesel engines will be recalled. The models in question were manufactured between April 2013 to June 2014. An issue lies with the bundle clip for the fuel and brake lines.
Another issue lies with the EcoSport manufactured during January 2016 to February 2016. More than 700 units of Ford EcoSport have an issue with the 60/40 rear folding seat. The 40 percent folding seat has bolts which do not meet Ford standards and need replacement or they could break.
Rectifications by Ford India will be carried out free of cost. EcoSport owners are requested to contact dealers within their vicinity so they can set a date for replacement of parts. So far, no accidents, injuries, or complaints from customers have been registered pertaining to these issues.
