Ford Rolls Out 100,000th Vehicle From Gujarat Plant

Ford India achieved a new milestone from its Sanand plant in Gujarat by rolling out 100,000th vehicle. The company commissioned the plant just over 14 months ago. The plant's main purpose was to build the Figo Aspire and Fido hatchback. The 100,000th car to come out of the Sanand plant happens to be the new Ford Figo hatchback.

The plant became operational in 2015 and Ford India has invested a total of Rs. 6700 crore for this facility. The plant is the second manufacturing facility for Ford in India. In the month of August Ford India became India's largest car exporter and also the company managed to register a growth of 12.50 percent by selling 8,548 units.

The new Ford Figo claimed the title of the best value for money car in India. Ford created this car with its latest design philosophy. The car is equipped with features like 4.2-inch 2.0 multimedia, infotainment, six airbags, ABS with EBD and a lot more.

The Figo comes in two variants, petrol and diesel. The diesel engine is the same power unit which the car shares with the Aspire. The top model of Figo , which has a 1.5-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine, produces 110bhp making Figo one of the most powerful hatchbacks in the country.
