The infotainment system in cars have taken a huge leap in terms of technology based on customer experience. Now, Ford is collaborating with the HARMAN, who produces lifestyle audio system to develop in-vehicle audio experience for cars.
Starting next year, Ford will bring the HARMAN's in-vehicle audio experience with B&O PlAY to its global vehicle lineup next year. The B&O PLAY will be integrated with Ford vehicles which will take advantage of the proprietary of HARMAN technoloies to provide a rich and more engaging experience.
The technology will even take care of the prefeences of diffeent types of customers and driving experience customised for each of the Ford models. B&O PLAY approach will be to create a customised audio experience for customers with specifically tailored speaker placement and callibiration for each of the Ford's portfolio of vehicles.
Ford also said that by using B&O PLAY products, the installation brings to life three different environmental habitats - a canyon, a forest, and an ocean - featuring amplified sound. To bring out the technology to the people before it can be seen on Ford's vehicles, Ford and B&O PLAY unveiled an installation called "Sound Journeys", which is an on-site experience that triggers senses.
