Ford Introduces ABS On Base Variants Of The Figo And Aspire At A Small Premium
Ford has equipped the Figo and the Aspire base models (Trend) with optional ABS, which will cost Rs 12,000 more.
Safety features such as airbags and ABS are becoming essential, and Ford has now equipped the Figo hatchback and the Aspire compact sedan base models (Trend) with ABS.
The ABS equipped base variants of the two cars will now be called Trend+, and will command Rs 12,000 more, compared to the Trend variants of the Figo and the Aspire.
Ford recently equipped the top of the line variant of the Aspire, the Titanium automatic variant with additional airbags, making it a total of seven airbags.
The Ford Figo hatchback is powered by a choice of three engines, a 1.2 petrol that makes 87bhp and 112Nm of torque, a 1.5-litre petrol motor that makes 110bhp and 136Nm of torque, and lastly, a 1.5-litre diesel engine that churns out 99bhp and 215Nm of peak torque.
The Figo hatchback is offered with a choice of either a manual or an automatic gearbox in India, and competes with the Maruti Suzuki Swift, a strong competitor for Maruti Suzuki in the hatchback segment.

The Figo Aspire compact sedan is powered by the above mentioned engine options as well, with the same gearbox options. The Aspire competes with the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, one of the best selling cars in the country.
