Ford May Revise The Price Of Endeavour In India
Ford could be looking at revising the prices of the Ford Endeavour SUV in India.
US car manufacturer Ford could revise the price of the Endeavour SUV in the Indian market. If and when this does happen, it will be the second time the America-based firm would have changed the price of Endeavour in the country.
It is expected that the base variant of Endeavour, 'Trend' will see a cut in price of around Rs 1 lakh while the price of the top of the line 'Titanium' variant will see a price hike.
The reason behind the expected price revision is unknown, the change in prices is expected to be seen from the month of December.
Ford India had recently pulled out the entry-level 2.2-litre Trend 4x2MT variant of Endeavour from the market and the SUV is currently offered in only five variants in India.
Prices for the Ford Endeavour start at Rs 23.78 lakh for the entry-level Trend 4x2 AT and 4X4 MT variants. The Endeavour 3.2-litre 4x4 AT Trend is priced at Rs 25.93 lakh.
The top of the line Titanium variants, the 3.2-litre 4X4 AT Titanium and 2.2-litre 4X2 AT Titanium are priced at Rs 29.76 lakh and 27.5 lakh respectively.
The Endeavour SUV is offered with two engine options: a 3.2-litre five-cylinder Duratorq TDCi diesel engine and a 2.2-litre four-cylinder Duratorq TDCi diesel motor which produces 197bhp and 158bhp respectively.
The gearbox options include 6-speed manual and automatic gearboxes. Ford claims that the manual version of Endeavour will deliver 14.12km/l mileage and automatic variant will deliver 12.62km/l.
The third generation Ford Endeavour is a rival to the likes of the Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Pajero Sport in the Indian market.
