Force Motors Opens Engine And Axle Assembly Plant For Mercedes
Force Motors has inaugurated a brand new assembly plant in Chakan, near Pune. The new facility
The new plant will be used to assemble engines and axles for cars made by German automotive giant Mercedes-Benz.
Force Motors has been associated with Mercedes for 45 years and has been assembling engines for them since 1997.
The new Force Motors plant will be used to assemble 14 different engine variants across the four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel configurations for Mercedes.
Built with an investment of Rs. 100 Crores, the new plant is spread over 1,30,000 square feet and can produce 20,000 engines every year along with 20,000 front and rear axles.
However, production levels will be determined by the demand from the Mercedes-Benz factory, which is located just a kilometre away.
