Force India & Pascal Wehrlein Negotiating Deal For 2017 F1 Season
Force India was really surprised that Nico Hulkenberg left their team. Hulkenberg after five years decided to move ahead in Formula One with Renault. This move was surprising as Force India's form over the last few races has improved and they are the fourth best team in F1.
Now, Pascal Wehrlein has confirmed that talks with Force India have commenced. The German-born driver seems most likely to replace Hulkenberg at Force India. Currently, Wehrlein races in Formula One 2016 Championship with Manor Racing.
Wehrlein is currently managed by Mercedes and Force India could benefit by including him in their project. There is a possibility that Mercedes could offer updates to Force India as soon as Hamilton and Rosberg receive them. Unofficially, Force India could be Mercedes satellite team.
So far, Force India has only confirmed Sergio Perez for 2017 Formula One Championship. Force India would like to have to competitive drivers behind the wheel. Pascal Wehrlein has performed exceptionally well with Manor Racing by putting it in tenth place at the Austrian GP.
