Currently, the team is 27 points ahead of Williams F1 team in fourth place in the constructor's championship. Only one more round is remaining in the current season and the venue for the Grand Finale is Yas Marina Circuit at Abu Dhabi.
Force India team says only a disastrous result in the last race would allow Williams to get in front. The team is confident enough to secure the fourth place.
Bob Fernley who is the deputy team principal of Force India said to Motorsport.com that being fourth in the championship sandwiched by championship winning teams did not happen by accident. He also said that it is a remarkable achievement and they've got 380 people to thank for that.
Fernley said about Vijay Mallya, Team Principal of Force India, "I think it's down to these people. I think this is really a strong race team and everyone has a tremendous work ethic, a tremendous competition ethic and we are driven by a good owner, who has put in resource when he can to make sure that we have all the elements necessary.
"We certainly don't have the budget of teams that are ahead or behind us, but I think it just goes to show how competitive you can be if you do the job well."
