Bridgestone Launches All-New Firestone Branded Tyres In India
Firestone Tyres have been introduced in the Indian market by Bridgestone. At this moment, Firestone branded tyres will be available only for passenger vehicles and SUVs. The FR500 tyres are specifically designed for passenger vehicles, while the LE02 is developed for SUVs.
The new tyres from Firestone will be manufactured at Bridgestone's facility in Chakan, Pune and Kheda, Indore. Firestone Tyres will be readily available at all major tyre dealerships pan India. It is unclear if Firestone will want to set up its own dealership network across the nation.
Currently, the FR500 tyres will be available in rim diameters ranging from 12-16. On offer will be 24 unique tyre sizes which will cater to most passenger vehicles. All tyres have been specifically designed to work in demanding Indian road conditions.
The LE02 tyres from Firestone will be available in just three sizes for the Indian market. These tyres will range from 15-16 inch rim diameters. Firestone Tyres has developed the LE02 to take on tough and rugged terrain, which will be encountered by SUVs.
India is amongst the fastest growing markets for four-wheelers. Bridgestone India is confident that the Firestone branded tyres will be accepted by tyre buyers in the country. New tyres will be introduced by Firestone as and when needed by customers and manufacturers.
