Fiat Punto Evo Launched With Powerful Diesel Engine; Avventura Gets Retuned

Fiat India launched a powerful diesel engine for the Punto Evo and a retuned engine for the Avventura. This will come with the new PowerTech branding which is a retuned version of the current diesel engine.

The new unit will churn out 92bhp of power, which was seen in the Avventura, however, the old Punto Evo engine used to develop 75bhp. The Punto Evo PowerTech is priced from Rs. 6.81 lakh and the Avventura PowerTech starts from Rs. 7.87 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).

Both the Punto Evo and the Avventura, along with the PowerTech branding will now come with the 1.3-litre Multijet engine with VGT (Variable Geometry Turbo) which will produce 92bhp of power and 200Nm of torque.

The gearbox remains the same with a 5-speed manual system. The petrol units, 1.2-litre and, 1.4-litre engines have not been touched and will continue with the same specifications.

Apart from the engine upgrade, Fiat has added a new 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system on the both the Punto Evo and the Avventura. The system supports navigation which is my MapMyIndia.

The new Fiat PowerTech Punto Evo and Avventura range will come in three variants of Active, Dynamic, and Emotion.

Fiat India recently launched the Linea 125 S, which is also a powerful version of the earlier model.
