Fiat Linea 125S - Leaving The Competition In The Dust
Fiat unveiled a faster version of its Linea sedan called the Linea 125S at the 2016 Auto Expo.
The new 125S features the same engine found on the Abarth tuned Punto and is the fastest sedan in the segment.
The new sedan from Fiat promises to be quite a fast sedan, so lets take a look at the new Fiat Linea 125 and see if it does live up to all the hype the Italian marque is building up about it.
Fiat Linea 125S Exterior And Interior Design
Design wise not much has changed in the new Linea 125S when you compare its less powerful siblings.
There are glossy horizontal slats in the frille and the air dam while at the rear the only major difference is the new 125S badging. The Saffire Blue paintjob is the only color the new car will be available in.
Inside the car, the infotainment system is a touch based system that controls, the audio and the sat-nav.
Performance & Mileage of Vitara Brezza
The Linea 125S is powered by Fiat's 1.4-litre T-Jet turbocharged petrol engine which produces 123bhp@ 5,000rpm and the peak torque figure of 210Nm is achieved at just 2,200rpm.
The new engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox and should easily deal with the day to day grind of bumper to bumper traffic with ease.
Verdict
Fiat claims that the new Linea 125S is the fastest sedan in its segment and whether that is true is something we will only be able to tell after taking the new car to the streets.
However at first glance and on paper, the new Linea 125S is a car that the Maruti Ciaz, the Honda City and the Volkswagen Vento should be quite wary of, as it really does look like it means serious business.
If Fiat get the pricing right when the Linea 125S launches later this year, it could leave the new car's rivals gasping for breath something that should give the Italian carmaker something to smile about.
