Ferrari 488 Challenge Debuts At 25th Anniversary Celebration In Daytona
Ferrari has unveiled its all-new 488 Challenge at Daytona, Florida at their 25th anniversary celebration. The 488 Challenge by Ferrari will be used exclusively for their one-make racing series.
Ferrari has unveiled a very special supercar on the last day of their 25th anniversary celebration in Daytona, Florida. The Italian-based supercar maker has showcased its all-new 488 Challenge model. All-new Ferrari 488 Challenge replaces the Ferrari 458 Challenge supercar.
The Ferrari Challenge is a one-make race series for amateur racecar drivers. For 2016, Ferrari will utilise the 488 Challenge model for their one-make race series. Lamborghini and Porsche also organise a similar race series for aspiring racers.
Powering the Ferrari 488 Challenge is a 3.9-litre, V8 turbocharged petrol engine. The performance figures have not been revealed by Ferrari so far. All-new 488 Challenge is also the very first turbocharged Ferrari Challenge supercar till date.
The electronic driver aids on Ferrari 488 Challenge have been further improved. Control knobs are provided on the steering wheel to regulate intrusion of the driving aids, while another knob allows racers to control when the system starts.
