Fernando Alonso Still Not Happy With McLaren Honda
Fernando Alonso is one Formula One driver that does not like mincing his words. The two-time Formula One World Champion insists that his team has made developments, however, he is still not hundred percent happy.
During the pre-season testing, Alonso admits McLaren has improved reliability as well as the performance of the vehicle. Unfortunately, the Spaniard feels that the other teams have also made significant progress moving forward.
Alonso joined McLaren Honda with a simple goal to be competitive. The Spaniard's contract comes to an end in 2017 and he will assess this year and next season, and then decide whether he continues racing in the Formula One Championship.
Mercedes-powered vehicles are still considered to have an edge over the competition. Ferrari and Red Bull seem to have made maximum progress over the winter. All teams and drivers will have to wait until the first race to understand how much progress was actually achieved.
The first race of the 2016 Formula One Championship will be held in Australia. All drivers and team will be eager to outperform their rivals on March 20, 2016. Stay tuned for more updates as we will be tracking the event as it happens.
