Esteban Gutierrez In Talks With Sauber & Manor For 2017
Esteban Gutierrez is without a drive for 2017 Formula One Championship after Haas F1 Team did not renew his contract.
Esteban Gutierrez was recently released by Haas F1 Team prior to the 2016 Brazilian GP. The Mexican driver is keen to continue competing in Formula One Championship. Unfortunately, there are not many teams that have a vacancy for a driver in 2017 season.
Now, Gutierrez is in talks with both Manor Racing and Sauber F1 Team. So far, nothing has been decided and Gutierrez's future in Formula One is still uncertain. An announcement by the Mexican driver about his future can be expected before 2016 season comes to an end.
Currently, Sauber F1 Team and Manor Racing have not confirmed their driver lineup for 2017. The two teams are also expected to make an official announcement during the Abu Dhabi GP. Esteban Ocon of Manor has confirmed that he would be joining Force India next season.
Haas F1 Team has confirmed Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen for 2017 F1 season. Esteban Gutierrez was surely surprised when he was informed that he would not continue with the team. Gutierrez was not able to secure points as well as finishes for Haas F1 Team.
