Citroen's Luxury sub-brand DS Automobiles has revealed a concept electric grand tourer called the E-Tense.
DS states that the E-Tense is a Grand Tourer but the electric concept looks more like a sports car than anything else with its sharp looks. The front is dominated by a large grille with the DS badge right at the centre. The grille is flanked by extremely sharp and angular headlamps. Underneath and to the sides are air intakes and also up front is a splitter.
The E-Tense electric concept doesn't have ORVMs on the sides, and instead uses cameras to aid the driver. Also on the sides are the air intakes. Right down the centre of the car runs a chrome strip from the fron to the rear.
The rear of the E-Tense is all about the angles, with the DS designers adding quite a number of sharp angular shapes. Howerever, the biggest and craziest section of the rear is the diffusor unit which looks like something out of the back of LMP1 endurance car.
Powering the E-Tense concept is an electric motor that produces 402hp and 517Nm of torque, enough to send the electric GT concept to 100km/h from Zero in 4.5 seconds. DS states that the E-Tense will be able to travel 310 kilometers on a single charge.
The DS E-Tense concept will make its official debut at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show in March.
