Odd-Even 2.0: Ola, Uber Cabs Impounded In Delhi For Peak Pricing
oi-Dennis
By Dennis
The Delhi Transport department has impounded as many as 18 cabs operating under app based taxi providers Ola and Uber for overcharging customers in the capital.
The capital is currently operating under the Odd-Even Pollution control rules and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had warned Uber and Uber to shut down the so-called 'Surge Pricing' or 'Peak Pricing' to avoid inconveniencing the Delhi public.
The seized cabs were overcharging customers despite assurances from both Ola and Uber that the Peak and Surge pricing schemes had been shut down till the end of the second stage of the Odd-Even Scheme which will end on April 30, 2016.
