Japanese carmaker Datsun has launched the limited edition redi-Go Sport in India. The redi-Go Sport hatchback is priced at Rs. 3,49,479 ex-showroom (Delhi).
The redi-Go Sport was launched by 2016 Rio Olympics Bronze Medalist Sakhsi Malik who will be the brand ambassador for the new car.
At the launch, Datsun honoured Malik for her Olympic heroics by presenting her with the keys to the first production redi-Go Sport.
The redi-Go Sport uses the same 799cc, three-cylinder engine that produces 53bhp and 72Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox which sends the power to the front wheels.
Datsun has added quite a few cosmetic tweaks to the redi-Go Sport including a black grille with red theme accents, a big black stripe that runs down the centre of the car, black wheel covers and a roof spoiler.
Inside, the interior is done up in black while the dashboard has been upgraded.
The new Sport features several extra features like bluetooth audio, rear parking sensors and keyless entry.
The redi-GO Sport is available in three colour options: Ruby, White and Grey.
The new redi-Go Sport is available in only the top-end S variant and can be booked at all 227 Datsun dealerships across India.
