Dacia Duster Gets Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) Automatic Transmission
Dacia has launched the new Duster which will be equipped with Efficient Dual Clutch (EDC) automatic transmission. But the best-selling model still maintains its affordable price quotient and will be the most affordable automatic crossover in the UK.
EDC transmission will combine the comfort and smoothness of an automatic gearbox and fuel economy and low carbon emissions of the manual gearbox. This new transmission will offer smooth and simpler drive.
The EDC transmission features a Hill Start Assist. When moving from a slope, the EDC holds the brakes for sufficient time to allow the driver to step on the throttle and move on before the vehicle rolls back.
The Dacia Duster will be powered by 1.5-litre dCi 10 turbodiesel engine. The new model will be available in Laureate and Prestige 4x2 variants.
The new Dacia Duster gets new upholstery for all versions, square effect headlights and optional features such as rear parking sensor, part-leather upholstery and 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. A rear parking camera will be also provided as an optional choice.
The new updates also include the availability of the 1.2-litre TCe 125 engine on Laureate trim and above, which will ensure that customers have a choice of petrol and diesel variant of entry level model.
The top of the line prestige model gets 16-inch diamond cut alloy wheels, MediaNav Evolution and rear parking camera as a standard feature. The new Dacia Duster will be available in the UK from October.
