Citroen, the French carmaker is preparing a brand new C5 and C6 family. Both car family is set to launch early next decade with styling inspired by the already teased C-xperience concept.
The C5 and C6 models will compete in the large luxury sedan market. Citroen's decision is to make DS a standalone brand so that the company can focus on luxury vehicle department.
Citroen chief executive Linda Jackson said, "We are a mainstream brand but have the ability to overturn the established codes of the mainstream. In fact, our customers now expect it. How far can we take that? Can we go high end? I would say yes. Whatever the segment is, we can do it, but in our own way."
The company ensures that the new C5 and C6 models will have more flair than any other luxury sedans on the market. The vehicles are set to receive comprehensive design overhauls to make them distinct from previous-generation models.
The next C5 and C6 will be equipped with company's latest suspension system which offers impeccable ride comfort and limiting external noise and vibration.
