Citroen states that the concept model is close to the final car, with dramatic aero upgrades such as, massive stepped wheel arches, large rear wing and diffuser. The C3 WRC is powered by 1.6-litre, turbocharged engine which produces 375bhp of power, which is sent to all four wheels through electronic central differential.
French manufacturer makes its return to top level of rallying after a break of one year. In the past Citroen enjoyed a successful WRC campaign with French rally driver Sebastien Loeb behind the wheel. But since his departure, Citroen has lost it to the likes of Volkswagen in the championship.
With the new regulations from 2017, Citroen hopes to repeat the glory days with the new C3 WRC car. British driver Kris Meeke is named as one of factory drivers for next season, as he will be joined by other two drivers.
