This Supercar From China Will Blow Your Mind
Chinese startup company, Techrules showcased its futuristic concept supercar at the Geneva Auto Show earlier this year. But only few might have thought that this car will ever be produced.
The company stated that it is working on the production model, named as GT96, based on the concept version. Techrules has taken help from renowned designer, Giorgetto Giugiaro and his son Fabrizio. The father-son duo is working on the concept model, to fine tune its design for production.
The most amazing thing about the GT96 is that it's not powered by a conventional internal combustion engine. Instead, the car is equipped with a micro turbine, which produces electricity to drive the car.
The specification of the car is jaw dropping – 1,030bhp is what one has at his disposal, generated from the micro turbine unit. The car can sprint from 0 – 100km/h in just 2.5 seconds. The top speed is electronically limited to 350km/h.
The GT96 boasts a driving range of 2000km, and will return a mileage of approximately 460km/litre. The GT96 will be the most efficient car on the planet. Though these figures are still on paper, Techrules stated that the company is testing a prototype at the Silverstone race track in England.
If everything goes per plan, the GT96 will be China's first ever supercar. The final production model will be showcased at the 2017 Geneva Auto Show. LM Gianetti will be manufacturing the car in Italy and the car is limited to only 25 examples per year.
