Chevrolet Spin MPV Launch Cancelled; India To Get Beat Activ Instead
The Chevrolet Spin MPV was scheduled to launch in 2017; however, General Motors (Parent Company) has announced that the Spin MPV will not be launched in India.
If launched, the Spin MPV would have been offered with a 1.4-litre petrol engine mated to a 5-speed manual transmission along with a 1.3-litre diesel engine.
Currently, MPV sales are down compared to compact cars or SUVs. The automaker said, the trends and customer demands are constantly changing and is now focussing on growing segments such as SUVs.
In the coming days, the company is betting big on the Beat Activ and has promised to launch at least five new vehicles in the next 24 months. Click here to read more on the Chevrolet Beat Activ.
