Recall Alert: Indian Chevrolet Cruze Recalled Over Ignition Issue

Chevrolet India has issued a voluntary recall for its Cruze sedan sold across the country. Only the Chevrolet Cruze manufactured between 2009 to 2011 are affected. There seems to be an issue with the ignition system in the sedan.

The ignition issue could stall Chevrolet Cruze's engine at low speeds. Cruze owners would also experience loss of ignition and power while driving the sedan. So far, the number of vehicles being affected by this recall has not been disclosed by Chevrolet India.

Customers of Chevrolet Cruze are being requested to take their vehicles to the closest dealership for inspection. If the issue is spotted, technicians will repair or replace faulty parts within a span of an hour. No charges will be levied onto the customer for ignition issues in the Cruze sedan.

An optional pick-up service is also being organised by Chevrolet India. Customers can schedule an appointment with their nearest service centre for inspection and rectification. Safety and customer satisfaction are important pillars in Chevrolet's philosophy.
