Cars That Would Soon Come To India From The 2016 Beijing Motor Show
The Beijing Motor Show is a good ground for carmakers to showcase the latest cars in the industry in Asia. China is the largest car market in the world for many carmakers, and showcasing cars here is a good way to let the Asian market know there is a new car headed their way.
India being in Asia, will get some of these cars too. So let's take a look at cars that would soon come to India that were showcased at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show.
Renault Koleos
The second generation Renault Koleos as unveiled at the 2016 Beijing Motor Show for the second time after it was officially unveiled in India during the Auto Expo. The Koleos will soon make it to India, replacing the current generation Koleos SUV that is on sale.
Mercedes-Benz E-Class LWB
The Chinese market has good demand for Long Wheel Base (LWB) versions of cars and Mercedes was eager to offer the E-Class LWB. Since Mercedes-Benz is planning to launch 12 new cars this year in India, the E-Class LWB has a good chance of making it to India. When launched, the E-Class LWB will have no competition. The passengers in the rear will have loads of space and lots of customising options.
Porsche 718 Cayman
The Porsche Cayman has undergone changes and the german carmaker has introduced the car in Beijing. The Porsche 718 Cayman uses a new 4-cylinder turbocharged engine instead of the old 6-cylinder unit. The Cayman being a popular car, Porsche bringing the car to India will be no surprise.
Audi TT RS
Audi is facing stiff competition from fellow German carmaker Mercedes and will introduce new models in India. After Mercedes snached away the best luxury carmaker title from Audi, the carmaker could bring in the Audi TT RS to India. Audi says it will sell the car globally and since the Audi TT is sold in India, chances are high for the RS version to be sold here.
Hyundai Verna
Although only the concept form was showcased, it is time Hyundai give the Verna a facelift like how the Elite i20 underwent changes. The Verna is a good selling car for the South Korean carmaker in India, and once the production form of the new Verna is ready, it will only be a matter of time untill Hyundai starts selling the car in India.
Volkswagen T-Prime Concept GTE
The Volkswagen T-Prime GTE is a future vision of the German carmaker's electric and plug-in vehicles it has in mind to be launched by 2020. The T-Prime GTE has the same underpinnings as the Audi Q7 and the Bentley Bentayga.
Honda Avancier
Showcased as the Concept D last year at Shanghai, Honda took the covers off the production model, called the Avancier. The Honda Avancier will be the Japanese carmaker's flagship SUv when launched, and will be placed above the H-RV and the C-RV. The Honda Avancier will make it to international markets soon after its launch in China.
