Williams Martini Racing Announce Their Driver Line-Up For 2017
Rookie Lance Stroll will drive alongside Valtteri Bottas in 2017 F1 Championship. Claire Williams has confirmed that Bottas and Stroll will be part of 2017 Williams Martini Racing driver line-up.
Williams Martini Racing has confirmed their driver line-up for 2017 Formula One Championship. The team has confirmed Valtteri Bottas will continue with Williams. Joining Bottas will be Formula One rookie Lance Stroll, who takes Felipe Massa's vacant seat.
Lance Stroll will become the second youngest driver to compete in Formula One. Stroll, who is just eighteen years old is expected to follow Max Verstappen's footstep. The Canadian driver is 2016 Formula 3 European Championship winner.
Claire Williams is confident that the mixture of experience and rookie driver will make an interesting combination. Williams Martini Racing will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary in Formula One during 2017.
The team has planned various events to mark their 40th Anniversary in Formula One. Williams Racing will expect better performance from Bottas and Stroll as well. Both drivers will try and achieve the best possible result for their team, thus making the 40th Anniversary memorable.
Last Canadian to participate in Formula One Championship was Jacques Villeneuve. That was ten years ago and Lance Stroll will be the only Canadian driver in Formula One 2017 Championship. Bottas will be teaming up with Williams Racing for the eighth year in succession.
