BMW Marks 30th Anniversary Of M3 With Special Edition ‘30 Years M3'

BMW marked its 30th anniversary of the celebrated BMW M series and will be launching globally the BMW M3 '30 Years M3' special limited edition with just 500 cars.

The German sports luxury car manufacturer, BMW launched the first generation BMW M3 in 1986 operating under the name of BMW Motorsports GmbH, revolutionised the sporty mid-range segment with the 3 series. The BMW M3 is a thoroughbred high-performance sports car which is suitable for everyday use.

The special edition BMW M3 '30 Years M3' is painted in exclusive Macao Blue metallic. The special edition builds on the 'Competition Package' of the BMW M3. The new car will have an increase in power by 19bhp taking its total to 450bhp compared to the 425bhp of the stock vehicle.

The powertrain is mated to 7-speed M double clutch gearbox which lets the car go from 0 - 100 km/h in 4 seconds.

Also included in the package is the Adaptive M suspension, which adds performance to the beamer. Features like new springs, dampers, and stabilisers which have been optimised. The characteristics of the curves of the three modes Comfort, Sport, and Sport+ as well as modified Active M differential axles and DSC (Dynamic Stability Control).

The special edition BMW M3 '30 Years M3' will sport 20-inch M light-alloy wheels with 666 M star spoke design and mixed tyres.

On the inside, the BMW M3 '30 Years M3' will sport specific M sports seats in a skeletal design, seatbelts with woven-in BMW M stripes. The logo '30 Years M3' is seen on the front door sills, on the carbon fibre interior trim strip of the instrument panel, and the front seat headrests.

The car also comes with full leather Merino trim in bicolour black/Fjord Blue or optionally in Black/Silverstone with colour matching contrast seams that underscore the anniversary edition.

The price of the anniversary of the BMW M3 is expected to be in the range of 66,000 UK pounds, which translate to an approx Rs. 65,00,000, without any duties, included here in India.
