BMW 1 Series Sedan Interior Revealed
BMW has revealed the interior images of its upcoming sedan, the BMW 1 Series in China.
German car maker BMW had announced the BMW 1 Series sedan back in July, and now the interior of the upcoming sedan have been officially revealed.
This sedan is targeted to the Chinese market and will make its official debut at the 2016 Auto Guangzhou which will be held from November 19th to 27th, 2016.
The BMW 1 Series sedan interior is different from the BMW 1 Series hatchback model. But the interior resembles a familiar layout as of BMW's latest UKL platform-based cars.
The latest UKL platform cars are - BMW X1, BMW 2 Series Active Tourer and BMW 2 Series Gran Tourer.
The interior of the BMW 1 Series sedan features - three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, infotainment system with BMW ConnectedDrive services, rotary control knob and sunroof.
Coming to the exterior, the BMW 1 Series sedan measures 4,456 mm in length, 1,803 mm in width and 1,446 mm in height and 2,670 mm of wheelbase.
The BMW 1 Series sedan will be available in three engine models - 118i, 120i and 125i. 118i will be powered by 136bhp 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, 120i comes with 192 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine and 125i will be powered by 231 hp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine.
The transmission option is expected to be a six-speed manual and eight-speed automatic gearbox. Although this sedan is developed for China, it may be launched in other countries too.
As per the reports, BMW is planning to launch the BMW 1 Series sedan in Brazil. And if a right-hand drive sedan is ever produced it may be the potential BMW product for India to compete with the likes of Audi A3 and Mercedes CLA.
