2017 Mahindra BAJA SAEINDIA To Kick Off On June 24

SAEINDIA the organisers of BAJA series in India have announced the start of the 10th edition of the BAJA SAEINDIA which is sponsored by Mahindra.

The competition will start with the virtual round in the IT capital of India, Bangalore, on June 24, 2016.

The redesigned virtual round will be held at Christ College in Bangalore on the 24th and 25th of June and will see 413 teams, with 5 students per team, participate from various engineering colleges across the country.

In the virtual round, teams will be scrutinized for their knowledge and capability to participate successfully in the main event which will take place at the National Automotive Testing and R&D Infrastructure Project (NATRiP) facility in Pithampur, near Indore.

All teams will have to give a presentation on their design of their respective single-seater, four-wheel-drive, All Terrain Vehicles. This will be followed by an online test, which will be equally important in any team's selection for the main event.

Every participant's knowledge about the rules and General and automotive engineering will be put to the test in the Virtual BAJA event.

The theme for "Mahindra presents BAJA SAEINDIA 2017" is 'Decade of Dream, Dare & Drive' which celebrates 10 years of the BAJA SAEINDIA.
