Spy Pics: 2017 Audi Q5 Spotted Testing In India
The next-generation Audi Q5 SUV has been spotted testing in India ahead of its global debut, later this year.
The new Q5 is expected to enter India in 2017.
The new Audi Q5 will be based on the Volkswagen Group's MLB platform which also underpins its larger sibling, the Q7, which will also be the basis of the styling changes if the previous generation of Audi SUVs is anything to go by.
The MLB platform on which the Q5 will sit on is also lighter than the outgoing platform and the 2017 Q5 is expected to drop a much as 100 kilograms in weight compared to the current generation model, depending on the variant.
The new Q5 will be borrowing the four and six-cylinder petrol and diesel engines found under the hood of the current A4 sedan which will be paired to both manual and automatic gearboxes.
A faster Q5 bearing the quattro division's badge is expected to arrive later on, sporting a twin-turbo V6 petrol engine with over 500bhp on tap.
