Audi A4 Launched In India; Prices Start At Rs. 38.1 Lakh
German carmaker Audi has launched the all-new A4 luxury sedan in India. The new A4 is the fifth generation of the sedan produced by Audi after the A4 replaced the Audi 80 in 1994.
The all-new A4 is priced at Rs. 38,10,000 ex-showroom (Delhi and Maharashtra) for the Plus variant and Rs. 41,20,000 ex-showroom (Delhi and Maharashtra) for the Technology variant.
The new A4 sedan is available with only one engine option at launch: a 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine that produces 148bhp and 250Nm of torque.
The engine is mated to a 7-speed S-Tronic automatic gearbox and Audi offers five different driving modes for the driver to choose from.
The fifth-gen A4 will sprint from 0-100km/h in 8.5 seconds and has a top speed of 210km/h.
The new A4's 1.4-litre engine is 43 percent more fuel efficient than the 1.8-litre engine it replaces and returns a mileage of 17.84km/l.
Design-wise, the latest A4 features a more aggressive design compared to the model it replaces.
The front features sleek angular LED headlamps with integrated LED daytime running lights. The headlamps flank a much wider hexagonal grille similar to the one found on the R8 supercar.
At the rear, the A4 sports split LED tail lights with dynamic indicators and a small spoiler on the boot lid.
The new A4 sits on 17-inch 5-spoke alloy wheels.
Inside, the conventional instrument cluster has been replaced by Audi's massive virtual cockpit display.
The touchscreen infotainment display features navigation along with the usual multimedia connectivity offerings.
The usual leather upholstery is present along with wooden inserts on the dash which add to the premium feel of the car. The A4 also features a three-zone climate control system.
Safety features include 8 airbags, atyre pressure monitoring system, parking cameras along with ABS with EBD and other safety systems.
The new A4 will go up against the Jaguar XE, BMW 3 Series and the Mercedes C-Class and is available to purchase at Audi's dealerships across the country.
